Friday Night: “Fun & Creative” Superstars Jakub & Emeline kick off our FUN weekend with this multiple-levels class. We’ll focus on organic creativity together using the tools of West Coast Swing, get a taste of their incredible teaching, and start the party right.
Saturday Afternoon: “Syncing In” Find your partner, find yourself, find your dance. Build the fundamentals that let every dance breathe right from the start.
Saturday Night: “Solo Musicality & Movement for West Coast Swing” West Coast Swing is musical! Explore individual movement and attachment to the music in this solo-format class. All levels welcome.
Sunday Morning: “Playful Changes” Create moments with your partner! This class brings the fun to fundamentals. We’ll boost our creativity within West Coast Swing with guidance from two of the most creative superstars in the world.
Saturday Morning: “Where do we begin?” Start each dance in synchrony with your partner. This session focuses on higher level skills around beginning a dance with intention and connection.
Saturday Afternoon: “Finishing Each Other’s Sentences” Have you watched Jakub and Em dance? Then you’ll know that they are masters at connecting to a partner, the music and the audience. In this class they’ll share the secrets of using attentive partnering to find new ways to move together.
Saturday Afternoon: “Deep Focus” Get ready to work! Focus in on high-level West Coast Swing topics perfectly tailored for our community’s areas of growth and DC’s highest level of dancers. Bring your authentic dancing: Emeline & Jakub will mold this class to fit exactly to us.
Friday Afternoon: “Teaching West Coast Swing” Strategies for teaching west coast swing at various levels, including scaffolding concepts of connection & partnership.
