March 28th - Special Workshop With Kay Newhouse & Matthew Smith. All-Levels "Let the Music Move You" Match music to movement with several playful exercises that will help
you hear the picture created in the music, show what you hear, and
bring your partner into the moment. Whether you are a leader or a
follower you'll step away from this workshop with an extended
vocabulary for making your dance more musical - and more fun! This
special workshop is 1 hour in duration and begins at 8pm. It's FREE

West Coast Swing is
one of today’s most fun, exciting, versatile, contemporary social
of fun that anyone can enjoy. Fridays offer friendly, casual,
group classes where all ages are welcome. No partner or experience is
required. All you need is a desire to have some fun, meet friendly
people and learn a new social skill. Beginner classes are taught as a
progressive month long series which begin every 1st Friday of the
month. The beyond basics classes offer dancers with some experience a
chance to learn more complex patterns, styling and techniques. The
party that follows the classes has been going weekly for years. It's
become legendary for attracting 200+ friendly dancers from near and
All ages and skill levels are welcome. There is a well stocked snack
bar with fresh fruit, veggies, desserts and more. Sodas & Snacks
are free. There are tables in the ballroom for taking a break or
mingling. This venue has lots of socializing space beyond the dancing
areas. Many of the dancers we see on Fridays are long time regulars that have been dancing with us for 10+ years.
Dances are scheduled EVERY Friday except for the Fridays listed below when
we close down to support these large, local, all weekend dance events.

Get there early for two 45 minute West Cost Swing lessons...
Basic Beginner West Coast Swing lesson. No partner or experience
required. Experienced dancers are encouraged to participate too. This
class runs as a monthly series beginning the 1st Friday of the month.
Drop ins are welcome anytime. New beginners should join on the 1st Friday
of the month.
8:15pm Beyond Basics West Coast Swing. New & exciting stuff for more experienced social
dancers. This class is different every week. You should be experienced with all the basics of West Coast Swing social dancing.
9pm -1am Dancing with DJ Dave Moldover & the DJP team.
ABOUT THE VENUE
Hollywood Ballroom features a 7200' floating, wood dance floor in a decorated ballroom.
Dance Jam Productions serves Sodas, ice water, fruit, snacks and a
dessert buffet beginning at 9pm. Beer, wine and hot food are for
sale at the ballroom's Take 5 cafe. You may not bring in outside
beverages. The ballroom is non-smoking. Parking is abundant in the
lots surrounding the ballroom.
Cover is $15 ($8 students) and includes: ice water, snacks, drinks and
dessert buffet. Beer, Wine and hot food are for sale at the Ballroom's

First Friday, First time special - First
time students in the door by 7:30pm get in FREE! Bring a friend,
co-worker or family member. We'll offer them a warm welcome and help to
get them dancing quickly.
Dinner meetup or a Late Night Breakfast!
A new food plaza is 1 block away with lots of good choices. There are
even late night options if you don't want the night to end. TGI Fridays(2am), IHOP(24hrs), Panera
Bread, Qdoba, Five Guys, Asian Bistro & Sushi, Chik fila, Jerry's
Pizza and more. Hollywood Ballrooms Take 5 cafe will also be open
during the dance hours.
THE DJP TEAM
The Dance Jam Productions local dance team is currently led by Dave
Moldover with support from Sharon Roberts, Kiona Leah, Norm Hann,
Robin and Meira Stearn. DJP has hosted over 1000 social dance events
